I recently learned about Datrell Woods' story and can't stop thinking about how young he was, just 19 years old, with his whole life ahead of him. It's hard to imagine what his family and friends went through and continue to endure even years later. The fact that Dominique's crimes went on for so long raises so many questions about how we could better protect those most vulnerable in our communities. I wonder if more awareness or resources could have changed things for Datrell and the others. My heart truly goes out to everyone affected by this tragic series of events. It's crucial not to forget Datrell and ensure that his story helps spark meaningful change.
