Hey everyone,
I stumbled across a detail in the Ronald Dominique case that's been bothering me, especially about Bruce Williams. From what I've read, one of the major reasons Dominique was able to continue his crime spree was the lack of attention initially given to his victims. Bruce, and so many others, were from communities that often get overlooked. It’s tragic that socio-economic factors played a role in why these cases didn’t see the light of day until years later.
I think about Bruce's family a lot. At just 18, he had his whole life ahead of him, and it's deeply upsetting that his disappearance possibly went underreported. It makes me wonder how different things would have been if these cases had received more attention sooner.
Also, I’ve read that there were challenges with law enforcement and resources—like balancing other cases at the time. But I can't help but feel we as a society need to put more pressure on making sure every life is valued equally, and every missing person is a top priority.
Thoughts on how the response to these cases could have improved? Would love to hear what you all think. Stay safe out there.
