Hey everyone, I keep thinking about how little justice Joseph Brown and his family received. It absolutely baffles me that someone like Dominique could commit such heinous acts for so long without getting caught. It's just sad how people from marginalized communities, like Joseph, can sometimes seem invisible to society until something terrible happens. Does anyone here know what kind of support Joseph's family received during or after the trial? I can't imagine the pain of losing someone that way, especially when Joseph was trying to turn his life around despite his past. His grandmother must have been devastated. I hope they had some kind of community support to help them through such a difficult time. It's a grim reminder that we need to look out for each other and ensure everyone's voice is heard, so we can prevent tragedies like this in the future. Stay safe and look out for each other.

I've been following Joseph Brown's case, and what's been really gripping me is the environment he was left in. Being just 16 and already on probation, it seems like Joseph was fighting an uphill battle in life. A lot of sources I've stumbled across mention how he was being raised by his grandmother, which makes me wonder about the support systems available to kids like him in Kenner at that time. It's painful to think that someone already facing challenges in life could be taken advantage of so horrifically. Are there any discussions here about the systemic issues that might have left so many young men vulnerable to someone like Dominique? It's infuriating to think about, and I can't help but feel for Joseph's family, especially his grandmother, who must have felt such immense loss.
