Has anyone else been following the case of several missing women from the Peoria area in the '90s? My heart goes out to the families of all these women who disappeared during that time, including Loretta Tinkham. I can only imagine the pain they've endured over the years.
I came across some old articles discussing the remains found near Edwards, IL, that authorities were trying to identify. It’s frustrating and tragic that the cause of death remains undetermined due to the lack of complete remains. I read that investigators planned to use dental records, but there hasn't been much info since then. Does anyone have any updates on whether they were able to match the remains to any of these women?
I also saw discussions about possible connections to convicted killers like Joseph Miller and Arlie Ray Davis. It's terrifying to think these cases might be linked. Hoping for some closure for the families eventually. If anyone knows more or has any info, please share. Let's keep this discussion open; these women deserve justice.
I've been following the Peoria missing women cases for a while, and Loretta Tinkham's story has always stood out to me. What really gets me is the lack of closure for the families involved. It must be incredibly tough not knowing whether the remains found in Edwards belong to Loretta or another missing woman from the area. The fact that they couldn't recover the entire skeleton surely complicates the identification process, and I can't imagine the frustration and pain that must cause her loved ones.
It's chilling to think about the possibility that this could be connected to known killers like Joseph Miller or Arlie Ray Davis. The creek bottom being a potential dumping ground adds another layer of horror to it all. I'm hopeful that advancements in technology might one day provide answers—maybe through improved DNA testing or other forensic techniques. Until then, my thoughts are with Loretta’s family and all the others waiting for answers and hoping for some form of justice.
It's so tragic to think about the families of these missing women, especially during holidays and milestones when their absence is felt even deeper. I came across some discussions about the location where Loretta Tinkham's remains might have been found—a creek bottom near Edwards. Does anyone know if that area was thoroughly searched back then?
Given that it was reportedly used as a dumping ground for other murder victims, I find it hard to believe that more remains or evidence weren't uncovered. It makes me wonder if something was missed, or if there might still be clues buried out there that could help identify the other missing women, not just Loretta.
Has anyone here heard of follow-up searches being conducted, or if there were any efforts in the years since to re-evaluate the area with new techniques? It's so important for the families to get some answers, even after all these years. I really hope they find some form of closure someday.
