I was reading up on Karla Kassandra Pineda-Hernandez's case, and I found myself drawn to the complexities involved in family abductions like hers. It's so frustrating because, unlike stranger abductions, these cases might not get as much media attention, yet they’re incredibly difficult to resolve. The fact that Karla and her siblings might have been taken to Mexico by their non-custodial mother just adds another layer of complexity. International cases are a whole different ball game. The Hague Convention is supposed to help in these situations, but it seems like enforcement or cooperation can vary so much between countries. Has anyone come across other cases where The Hague was invoked successfully? I'm curious how effective it is, especially in cases where there's limited cooperation from other countries.
