I’ve been following the Diane Cusick case closely, and I can’t stop thinking about the significance of the DNA evidence that finally led to Richard Cottingham’s indictment. It’s as if science gave her a voice after so long. It also makes me think about how many other cold cases could be solved with modern forensic techniques. Diane’s story is a powerful reminder that justice can eventually reach even the darkest corners. My heart goes out to her loved ones; I hope they find some peace in knowing that there’s been some resolution and that those advancements in technology helped bring them a bit closer to justice.
