I'm truly haunted by the thought of how a simple family vacation could take such a tragic turn. It's unsettling to realize how someone could appear so trustworthy, only to reveal such a monstrous nature. I was reading about the Rogers family, and I can't stop thinking about the gas station encounter. It makes you wonder how many other people Chandler approached with that same offer. Was there something about the Rogers family that made him choose them, or was it purely a chance encounter? I just hope other families weren’t put through the same horror and that this serves as a reminder to all of us to remain vigilant. My thoughts are with those who loved Joan, Michelle, and Christe and the community that was affected by this senseless crime.
