I can’t stop thinking about Delmar Bright’s family and how they must have felt when they heard the news. It’s unimaginable to process such a loss, especially under such terrifying circumstances. I read that he was a porter at the Fremont Hotel, and I can’t help but wonder how his coworkers reacted. Did they notice anything unusual about Delmar in the days leading up to the tragedy? It's so sad to think about all the people affected. These kind of violent acts leave long-lasting scars, and I just hope everyone who knew him finds some way to heal.
I've been thinking a lot about Delmar Bright and what his last moments might have been like. It's truly devastating to consider that his kind nature might have been the very thing that led him to trust someone as dangerous as Billy Lee Chadd. It seems that Delmar simply wanted to unwind and share a drink with a new acquaintance, something so many of us do regularly without a second thought. It breaks my heart for his family and friends, knowing that this act of trust and hospitality ended in tragedy. It's a harsh reminder to us all of how quickly things can turn, and how careful we need to be even in familiar surroundings. Sending comfort to everyone who knew Delmar, as well as anyone else who has ever been touched by an act of violence like this.
