Does anyone else find it deeply unsettling how often vulnerable members of our communities fall through the cracks? Sheliah McKinzie's case is a prime example of the dangers that many face in impoverished neighborhoods. Her life, and the lives of the other victims found in that area, remind us of the ongoing threats posed to those with limited protection and resources. It's incredibly distressing to think about the fear these individuals must have felt in their final moments. There's a need for better support systems to help protect those at risk and to prevent tragedies like this from happening. My thoughts are with Sheliah’s family during this difficult time. This should have never happened. How can we as a society make changes to ensure that no one has to endure such horror?
