Has anyone else been following the case of Terrance Michael Mims? It's been years, and I still can't get it out of my mind. The randomness and horror of what happened to him resonate deeply with many of us, I'm sure. What really gets to me is thinking about how Terrance must have felt in those last moments. The sheer fear and confusion of being cornered like that by a group of strangers. He was just walking down the street, living his life, probably thinking about his plans for the next day, and then everything changed in an instant. I think about his family often. The strength it must take to live day to day knowing someone they love is gone because of such mindless violence. It's a reminder of how quickly life can change and how important it is for communities to come together to make neighborhoods safer for everyone. I hope the police can bring those responsible to justice, even after all this time. Terrance, you aren't forgotten.
