I've been thinking a lot about the Cass Corridor area and the environment around the time Dorothy and the other victims fell prey to the "Bigfoot Killer." It's chilling to imagine how vulnerable people were, especially women working as sex workers who had to navigate those dangerous streets day in and day out. I keep wondering what safety measures, if any, were available to them back in 1975. It's tragic to think about how easily someone could have taken advantage of the lack of protection for these women. I've read accounts that the community was tight-knit despite the area's rough reputation. It's just devastating to imagine how these losses must have impacted everyone during that time. For anyone with deeper insight or personal stories about the Cass Corridor neighborhood in the 70s, I'd love to hear them to better understand what life was like there. My heart goes out to Dorothy's loved ones and all the victims' families who have had to live with these painful memories.

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the tragic story of Dorothy Holmes, and I can't stop thinking about how little justice she and the other victims received. It's bewildering that such a horrendous case remains unsolved after all this time. I’ve been particularly struck by how the media back then didn’t seem to give much attention to these women's lives beyond the grim details of their deaths. Dorothy was someone's daughter, possibly a sister or mother, and that often gets lost in all the talk about the "Bigfoot Killer." Have any of you come across more personal stories about Dorothy or her life before that awful night in October 1975? It’s so important to remember these women as more than just statistics in the history of crime. If we can share and preserve their stories, maybe we can keep their spirits alive and push for their justice. Sending thoughts and strength to the families who have been reliving this nightmare for decades. ?
