I've been thinking a lot about Naomi Hall and the other victims of the so-called "Bigfoot Killer." What really stands out to me is how these young women were truly forgotten by the system, especially given the dangerous circumstances they lived under. It's upsetting to see how the marginalized status of Naomi and others involved in sex work at that time left them vulnerable and without protection. We have to consider how the absence of advanced forensic technology in 1975 really hampered the investigation. Nowadays, DNA might solve such cases, but back then, the evidence just wasn’t collected or preserved the way it would be today. It’s so frustrating to realize that the tools available now might have brought justice or at least closure to the families who continue to suffer without answers. Does anyone have insight into how these cold cases are being handled today? Are there any efforts to re-examine the evidence with modern technology? It pains me to think that these tragic stories could just fade away, lost in a file. Those women deserve so much more.
