Has anyone else been looking into the details of Areti Koularmanis' case? I find it incredibly difficult not to think about the impact this must have had on her husband, Dimitros, and their children. Losing your partner in such a violent and unexpected way is unfathomable. I read that Areti was trying to protect her family during the break-in. It's devastating to think that amidst what should have been a joyous family reunion, they were instead thrown into chaos and tragedy. Beyond the emotional toll on her immediate family, I can't begin to imagine how her friends and extended family in Toronto felt, hearing about her murder from hundreds of miles away. It raises important questions about how we can better support families, both emotionally and legally, in the aftermath of such horrific events. How do we ensure they find some semblance of justice and healing when the person responsible is finally caught? Curious if anyone here has resources or thoughts on how communities can rally around families like Areti's in the long term.
