Has anyone else been thinking about how crucial DNA technology has been in finally getting justice for Sharon Kay Hammack? It's astonishing and frankly uplifting that after all these years, we have the tools to hold her murderer accountable. To think about the pain Sharon’s family endured for 26 years, waiting and hoping for answers, is so difficult to fathom. Sharon’s children have lived most of their lives without their mom, and it breaks my heart to think about how this might provide some closure, even though nothing can truly heal that wound. I'm so relieved that advancements in forensic science are helping bring long-overdue justice and hope this case keeps the momentum going for others still waiting for answers. I am sending love and strength to all the families affected by these tragedies.
