Has anyone else ever questioned why it took nine years for the NYPD to release a surveillance image of the person of interest in Jamal Singleton's case? I can't imagine how difficult it must be for Jamal's family, especially his mother, waiting so long for even the smallest piece of new information. It must feel like the system has let them down. It seems like this delay might have hindered the investigation, and I just wish there was more transparency in these situations. Cases like this remind me how important it is for the authorities to communicate better with families going through such unimaginable loss. My thoughts are with them, and I hope someone out there has the courage to come forward with information that could help bring them some peace.
