I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of sadness when I came across Lamonte Curtis's case. He was only 23, with a life full of potential ahead of him. I've been following Kansas City's crime issues for a while, and each victim's story just hits so hard. It's especially distressing to hear how this happened practically at the front steps of a neighborhood that should have been a safe space. Does anyone know if there were any cameras or witnesses in the area on Bellefontaine Avenue that could have captured useful information? I just can't shake the feeling that there's a piece of the puzzle still out there, waiting to be found. My heart goes out to Lamonte's family and friends. I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing someone so young to such senseless violence. Hoping that new leads come through soon and that those responsible are brought to justice.
