Has anyone else been thinking about the neighbor who found the Haggard family? I can't even imagine the trauma of stumbling upon such a devastating scene, especially around the holidays. It must have been incredibly hard for them, both on a personal level and in the way it thrust them into the case. Not only did they have to process the loss of their own friends and community members, but they also became part of an investigation they never asked to be involved in. I wonder if more support could have been available for people like them back then. Times were so different, and dealing with such a heavy situation without modern mental health resources must have been overwhelming. My heart truly goes out to them and anyone else who was deeply affected by this tragedy.
