I’m struck by how his job as a lifeguard showcased not just his responsibility, but also his dedication to keeping others safe—a sadly ironic twist considering how his life was taken so violently. I can't help but wonder how this tragedy impacted his family and friends. Here was a young man full of promise, his future abruptly taken. How do his loved ones cope with such an incomprehensible loss? It's a reminder for all of us to advocate for better mental health resources and sensible gun control to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
