I’ve been researching the "Red Elementary Rampage," and one detail that continues to haunt me is the motive behind Larry Delon Casey's actions. It's hard to comprehend how an argument with his girlfriend could escalate into such a devastating act of violence. According to reports, Casey mentioned his father's murder as a trigger, which makes me wonder about the depth of his unresolved trauma. While it doesn’t excuse his actions, understanding his mindset might help prevent future tragedies. I hope Jana Whatley's family found some semblance of peace and support through the years. Sharing memories and keeping Jana's spirit alive seems like a small way to honor her amidst the senselessness of that day. Sending strength and healing to all those hurt by this tragic event. ?
