I was just revisiting the case of Fat Pat and something that's always intrigued me is the notorious absence of the promoter, Kenneth "Weasel" Watson, at the time of the shooting. Even though Fat Pat was there to collect an appearance fee, Watson wasn't home, which seems odd given their business arrangement. It's curious why Watson wasn’t there when he knew Fat Pat was coming. Is it possible the promoter not being home was part of a setup or just a coincidence? Kenneth later heading into prison on unrelated charges does little to clear the murky waters surrounding that day. My heart goes out to Fat Pat's family and community, who still don't have the answers or justice they deserve. This case continues to baffle me as much as the day I first heard about it. What do others think about the promoter's role in all of this?

I’ve been thinking about how little attention Fat Pat’s murder gets outside the Houston area. It's like his influence stays strong in music circles, yet the broader world seems to forget how his life was cut short. We all feel for his family and friends, as not knowing what truly happened must be a heavy burden to carry. It’s really surprising that a high-profile case like his hasn’t seen any justice served after all these years. What frustrates me is that the rumors have overshadowed the facts. I wonder if there’s still hope for some kind of breakthrough, even after all this time. His story definitely deserves to be told and remembered, and it’s clear his legacy in music won’t fade away anytime soon. I hope we see renewed efforts in solving his case. Thoughts?
