I find it puzzling that despite significant efforts under the Hague Convention, there hasn't been more progress in Kali's case. I understand the legal complexities with international custody issues, but it seems like the system is struggling to prioritize the child's welfare. Has anyone else come across similar cases where one parent is in defiance of court orders, yet little action is taken due to international jurisdiction complications? I'm curious about how other countries handle such situations and if there are any success stories of children being returned to their legal guardians. It’s rather frustrating to think that legal loopholes might continue to keep Kali separated from her father. Any insights or similar stories would be really helpful.

Has anyone else been following the case of Kali Athukorala? I can't stop thinking about how the legal system seems to be failing in this situation. It's incredibly frustrating to see a court ruling being disregarded, yet there's so little progress. Does anyone know if there have been any recent developments or renewed efforts from the U.S. to engage with the Dominican Republic on this case? Kali deserves the chance to grow up with both sides of her family knowing she's safe. I'd love to hear if anyone has insights or suggestions on what more could be done legally or diplomatically to push this forward.
