Did anyone else find it odd that Mel Nadel, despite being safety-conscious and sticking closer to camp after his previous hunting mishap, vanished without a trace? It seems especially strange that all his gear was left behind, yet they only found clues within 50 yards of the campsite. It doesn't add up. If Mel was trying to explore a bit or even if he stumbled and had an accident, it's weird not a single piece of his hunting equipment was found further out. Could there be areas in Elk Mountain where the terrain's so difficult that search teams might've missed something? Or maybe even hidden spots like caves or dense woods that are easy to overlook? It's unsettling that after all these years, we still have no clear leads. Anyone familiar with the area who can shed some light, especially on those 'Pecos Triangle' mysteries?
