Did anyone else notice that Shirley seemed really active in her community? I read in a local article that she volunteered at the church and helped organize events at the senior center. It’s hard to imagine someone so involved and kind being taken away in such a terrible way. I wonder if any of those who knew her saw signs of trouble at home. Her passing is a reminder of how little we might know about what’s going on in someone’s private life, even if they're always smiling on the outside. It’s important we keep an eye out for each other, especially when it comes to potential issues like domestic violence. Sending love and strength to Shirley's friends and family during this unimaginably difficult time.
Did anyone else read about Shirley Hawkins' son? I just came across a bit mentioning that Shirley had a close relationship with her children.
