It's been haunting thinking about the pressure Gregory must have been under to stay calm after being attacked. Despite the unimaginable pain and trauma, he still summoned the strength to give a detailed description of the shooter. It's an incredible testament to his professionalism and commitment to justice, qualities that he clearly lived by as both a veteran and a police officer. My heart goes out to his family, especially his young son, who may never fully understand the heroism of his dad on that fateful night. It offers a bit of solace knowing that Gregory’s actions helped bring the assailants to justice, but it’s so tragic that a life dedicated to protecting others was stolen so violently. How is his family coping now, years later? Does anyone know if they've received the support they needed?
