Does anyone else find it unsettling how quickly the narrative shifted about Dawon Moore's murder? Initially, everyone thought it was just a fight that escalated at the club, but then bam, his mom drops that bombshell about the bounty. I can't begin to imagine what it must feel like for a family to hear something like that. It's a cruel reminder of the dangerous environment some people are trapped in. What concerns me is how such information can get passed around without someone taking action—both authorities and community members. And knowing the $25,000 price tag was out there makes me wonder who else knew and why nothing seemed to be done to protect him. It's just layers upon layers of tragedy when you consider not just the loss of life but the seemingly lack of intervention when it might have counted most. Thoughts?
Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Dawon Moore and the others who were killed that night in St. Louis? I can't imagine what his family must be going through, especially with all the layers of complexity in this situation. I was thinking about how dangerous life must have been for him as someone hunted down with a bounty hanging over his head. His mom's statement about that $25,000 bounty raises so many questions. It's just hard to believe what some people have to go through, and even harder knowing that his case is still unsolved. It makes me wonder if there's more going on beneath the surface that we might not know about. Sending all my thoughts to Dawon's family, and hoping one day they get the justice they deserve. If anyone has any insights into the gang dynamics in St. Louis during that time or has come across similar cases, I'd love to hear more.
