I came across an old news clip about Corporal Norman Smith today, and it really made me reflect on the kinds of dangers officers face daily. I can't help but feel for his family, especially knowing his wife is also part of the Dallas Police Department. I can’t imagine the weight of serving in law enforcement with such a personal loss looming over her career. It's inspiring how the community and department came together to honor his service by flying flags at half-staff and holding memorials. His dedication to tackling gang violence in Dallas is truly commendable. It’s a somber reminder of the sacrifices officers make. Corporal Smith’s bravery and service won’t be forgotten, and I hope his family continues to find strength and support from those around them.
