I’ve been thinking a lot about the location of the attack on Tiffany Kuhlmeyer. The 2800 block of South Jefferson Avenue is typically a busy area, even back in 2009. It's puzzling that despite its hustle and bustle, there's so little information on the suspect. Was it because of the time of day? It was evening, around 7-8 PM, but perhaps it wasn’t dark enough for people to notice someone acting suspiciously. Also, the fact that the suspect ran first south and then west might suggest some local knowledge of the area. It feels like whoever did this knew the streets well enough to make a quick escape. I wonder if nearby businesses had security cameras that could have captured something useful. Even residential houses might have had cameras pointing towards the street. It just doesn’t sit right knowing that Tiffany lost her life so senselessly, especially on her birthday. My heart goes out to her family and friends, who’ve had to endure this pain for so many years without answers. I seriously hope someone comes forward with new info, no matter how small. Thinking of Tiffany and hoping for some breakthrough soon.
