It's been nearly a decade since the tragic events involving Eric Florke and Baldemar Hernandez unfolded in San Antonio. While the investigation was wrapped up as a murder-suicide, I can't shake off the questions it left. I've been thinking about what the neighbors must have felt when they noticed the open garage door and the dogs wandering around. That must have been so unsettling and confusing for them, especially considering Eric and Baldemar were known to be friendly and considerate. Were there any signs or odd occurrences before this tragedy that the neighbors now look back on and question? For the friends and family left behind, this must be such a heavy burden to bear, trying to make sense of something so senseless. My heart goes out to all of them, as this case serves as a haunting reminder of how little we sometimes know about what’s going on in someone else's life.
I live in the same neighborhood where this tragedy happened, and it’s deeply unsettling to think something like this occurred so close to home. I remember seeing Eric and Baldemar walking their dogs occasionally. They always seemed so friendly and happy. It's so hard to understand what went wrong.
One thing that has been weighing on me is the fact that the garage door was left open. It seems like such a small, mundane detail, but it makes you wonder if someone had plans to leave or if something interrupted them suddenly. Plus, it’s heartbreaking to think about their poor dogs being left there alone and roaming around confused.
My heart goes out to their families. Losing someone in such a sudden and violent way is unimaginable. I hope they have found some peace, and that the community continues to support them in any way possible.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about the role of community and how it impacts situations like the one involving Eric Florke and Baldemar Hernandez. The fact that their neighbors were the ones to discover the bodies got me reflecting on how interconnected we are, for better or worse. It’s amazing what a close-knit neighborhood can do—often seeing things before others might. The open garage and roaming dogs clearly signaled something was off, and thank goodness those neighbors acted.
I can’t help but feel an immense amount of empathy for the families and friends who were thrust into this nightmare. While the investigation wrapped up, I imagine the questions and confusion linger on for them. Security footage could have potentially helped, but hindsight is 20/20. This case makes me wonder how many subtle signs we miss daily that could prevent such tragedies. Keeping communication strong and looking out for each other might not solve everything, but it feels like a step in a better direction.
Sending thoughts and strength to the families dealing with the aftermath. ?
