I wanted to share something about the Pearsall burial site that's been looming in my mind. It's where Carlos Chapa, Mark Anthony Bernal, and Johnny Solis were found. Knowing their bodies were buried there, it makes that place feel heavy with sorrow.
There's a certain chill when you think about how a place can hold so much suffering. I can hardly imagine what it must be like for their families every time they think of that site. Have any locals here noticed changes around that area since this all happened? Does it feel different to you knowing its history?
It’s such a tragic part of the community’s fabric now. It reminds us not only of the violent realities some face but also of the small towns that unknowingly become part of these narratives. My thoughts are with the families who must bear this along with their loved ones' memories.
Did anyone else come across the letters or communications within the TMM that touched on Carlos Chapa’s role in the organization? From what I’ve read, being a "General" wasn’t just a title but came with significant responsibilities—it’s crazy to think about the pressure and potential dangers he must've faced daily. It's incredibly sad for his family to see their loved one get entangled in such a perilous web. If he truly mishandled funds, that would understandably cause friction, but nothing justifies what happened. My heart goes out to all the families affected. Does anyone know if there's been any recent initiatives in the community to prevent further gang involvement among young people? With all this violence, it's crucial to find ways to steer future generations away from such fate.
