Did anyone else catch the detail about Bernadine Gunner's Hyundai Elantra being found in the Cooper River? This got me thinking about how easily it could have been overlooked for nearly 14 years. What a relief and a shock it must have been for her family to finally get some answers. It’s puzzling to consider how the car wasn’t discovered sooner. This makes you wonder about other missing person cases and the potential for similar discoveries. I’m curious if there were any prior searches in that area or if this was the first time it was thoroughly checked. These unexpected breakthroughs can be difficult to process but might bring insights into how we conduct searches for missing persons.
Did anyone else find it odd how long it took before they searched the Cooper River? I mean, it's been almost 14 years since Bernadine Gunner went missing, and it seems like such an obvious place to check, especially being so close to Camden. I'm relieved they found the car and remains, but I can't help but wonder if this could have been solved sooner with more extensive searches early on. Could it be a resource issue or just bad luck that they didn't find it earlier? It's a bit frustrating knowing that answers might have been there all along. Thoughts?
I’m really intrigued by the role United Search Corps played in finally locating Bernadine Gunner’s car. I’ve read they’re a volunteer group that specializes in underwater searches, often finding things that have been missed for years. It's fascinating how technology and dedication can uncover things believed lost forever. Does anyone here know how these teams operate or what kind of techniques they use? It's amazing to think that in 2024 we’re still discovering things from cases that seemed cold. I'm hoping this leads to more cases being solved. Also, sending support to Bernadine's family during this time. ❤️
