I've been thinking a lot about Maisha Dorsey's case lately, especially considering the context of Oakland's crime rates back in 2012. It's so frustrating and saddening to see another promising life lost to violence, and even more so when the case goes cold. I can't help but wonder about the impact that the lack of resolution has had on her family and friends over the years. I know the police had a lot to handle with rising crime rates back then, but it seems like a lot of these cases just faded into the background noise of so much violence. It's not just a number or statistic—these are real people with loved ones who still need answers. I'm hoping with advances in forensic technology and maybe new information, there might be a chance for justice for Maisha in the future. What do you guys think? Do you believe the increased awareness and technological advances could eventually help bring some closure?
