Has anyone else been thinking about how Maeghan's neighbors must feel after all of this went down? Living so close to something so traumatic has got to impact them in some way. I wonder if they heard the argument or the gunshots. I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying that must have been. It's just so sad to think that this was happening right next door, and maybe no one knew the extent of it. I hope the apartment management and authorities provided some support or counseling to those who might need it. It's a harsh reminder that domestic violence doesn't just affect the immediate parties involved; it can ripple out and impact an entire community. Thoughts with Maeghan’s family and friends, and anyone else who might be struggling with this.

Has anyone else been struck by the apartment security situation in Maeghan Bernier's case? I mean, Gables Grandview Apartments isn’t exactly a rundown part of Austin, yet it seems like someone was able to break in without any apparent issues. I'm wondering if anyone has info on whether security cameras or guards were in place at the time? Considering the history of domestic calls, I’d hope the management would have been more vigilant. It's devastating to think that possibly better security measures could have prevented this tragedy. My heart goes out to Maeghan's family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. ? What do you all think about the responsibility of apartment complexes in situations with known domestic disputes?
