Hi everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Patricia Askew, and something that's been on my mind is how frequently these stories end with such devastating outcomes, despite clear warning signs. It's really unsettling to think that Patricia was actively seeking help and trying to protect herself, yet the system seems to have failed her in some crucial ways. One thing that stands out to me is the lack of a tracking monitor for David, which could have provided some level of safety or at least an alert when he was approaching her. It makes me wonder why such measures aren't mandatory, especially when the history of violence is so apparent. Maybe there's a need for more robust legislation that ensures better protection for those in vulnerable situations, like Patricia was. Anyway, my heart goes out to Patricia's daughter and all of her loved ones. It must be incredibly tough to cope with losing someone so dear under such tragic circumstances. I hope the advocacy efforts in her memory bring about meaningful changes so that others don't have to experience similar loss. Take care and stay safe, everyone. ?
