I’ve been following Michael Baker Jr.’s case and can’t stop thinking about how difficult it must be for his family, not having any answers even after all these years. Being found at only 20 near 24th and Highland, it’s a tragedy that shakes the community. I heard that Kansas City has a pretty sizeable number of cold cases, and it's so disheartening to think of the families spending every day without closure. The Cold Case Unit has their work cut out for them, with so many files to go through. I’m really hoping that with the way DNA and forensic tech have developed, they’ll catch a break soon. But it’s pricey and takes a lot of resources. Does anyone know if there have been any recent developments or renewed efforts with local outreach in Michael’s case? Sometimes it seems like even the smallest piece of info could make a difference. My heart truly goes out to his family—it must be so painful to keep waiting for justice.

Has anyone else dived into the frustrating lack of evidence or witness testimony in Michael Baker Jr.'s case? It’s been so many years, yet no closer to figuring out what happened at that Kansas City intersection. I can't imagine how hard it must be for Michael's family to go without answers for so long. With so many unsolved cases in the area, it feels like these crimes often slip through the cracks. It's comforting to know the Kansas City Cold Case Unit is still on the job, but I wonder how much of a difference modern forensics can actually make here. What do you guys think? Could those of us in the community have overlooked something small that could actually be crucial? Every little bit helps. Sending thoughts and strength to all families in similar situations.

I came across Michael Baker Jr.'s case again and couldn't shake the feeling of how much his loved ones must be struggling to find peace after all these years. It’s disheartening to see yet another young life taken so suddenly and without any sense of resolution. Every time I pass by that intersection at 24th Street and Highland, I think about how someone out there knows something. Kansas City has experienced so many tragedies like this one, and I can't help but wonder what it would take for someone to come forward and share what they know. It’s encouraging that the Kansas City Police Department’s Cold Case Unit is still actively working on these cases, but I can only imagine how hard it must be for the family to wait for answers. If you're from the area or heard anything around that time, even a minor detail could be crucial. Let's keep the conversation going and try to help give some peace to Michael's family and to the many others affected by unsolved cases in our community.
