I can’t stop thinking about that sweet little girl, Cessa Joy Salvato. Thinking of her family and the pain they must be feeling is just so tough. I don’t even know how I’d begin to cope with something so unimaginable. What really strikes me is the broader conversation on gun safety that this tragedy has sparked in the Killeen community. It's so crucial for everyone to handle firearms responsibly and to understand the devastating consequences that can happen when safety precautions aren't followed. The Killeen Police Department did a great thing by providing free gun locks. It’s a small measure, but it could save lives. My heart aches for Cessa's family, and I hope more communities take steps to prevent these kinds of accidents.
