There's been something on my mind regarding the tragic case of Alejandro Aldava that I wanted to discuss. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family is going through, seeking justice for something that should have never happened. What really bothers me is the fact that Arturo Cervantes was able to post bond and be released. I get that everyone is entitled to due process, but knowing that someone charged with such a serious crime can walk free (even temporarily) is unsettling. Do you think the bail system might sometimes compromise community safety, especially in violent cases like this? How can we balance a fair legal process with ensuring public safety? It's a complicated issue, but I hope Alejandro’s family finds the closure they need through the legal process.
