Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Montra D. Johnson case, and I just can’t get over the fact that there still seems to be so much silence surrounding this tragedy. A busy bus stop in broad daylight — there had to have been people who witnessed what happened but are maybe too scared to come forward. I understand the fear, especially if they live in a neighborhood with ongoing violence. But thinking about Montra’s friends and family living without answers or justice for all these years is just so unsettling. If someone out there knows something, even the tiniest detail could make a huge difference. Kansas City has so many cold cases like this, and I just hope that one day the community will feel safe enough to speak up and help bring closure to families like Montra’s. This situation must be so painful for them. Does anyone know if there are any support groups or initiatives in the area that are working with witnesses in these types of cases? Maybe they could offer some protection or anonymity. I feel like reaching out and creating those safe spaces might encourage more people to share what they’ve seen or heard.
