I’ve been reading about Albert Nelson’s case, and one aspect that stood out to me was the location where this all took place—an elementary school parking lot. It’s unfathomable to think about such violence occurring in a space that’s usually filled with children and families. It’s deeply unsettling not just for Albert’s loved ones, but for the entire community that relies on spaces like Elolf Elementary as safe havens for their kids. I can’t imagine how the students and staff felt knowing such a tragedy happened on their doorstep. This case is a grim reminder of how these environments can be violated by senseless acts. My heart goes out to Albert's family and the community as they navigate the aftermath of such a tragic event.
