Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Valerie Ann Yanske Jackson and her family, and I can’t get the image out of my head of what her final moments might have been like. I keep thinking about the incredible bravery she must have shown during those terrifying hours. Being the last one, it’s heartbreaking to think about what she might have witnessed or felt in those moments trying to protect her family. I’ve been wondering about the steps friends and communities can take to support families affected by domestic violence. Do any of you know of any effective local programs or support networks? I feel it’s important we discuss and share resources to prevent similar tragedies in the future and keep these discussions alive in our communities. Sending love to Valerie’s family, her daughter Natalie, and anyone who has suffered the devastating impacts of losing loved ones in such a horrific way. ?
