Hey everyone,
I've been reflecting on the investigation into Simba Hakil Porter's tragic death and something that's been gnawing at me is the apparent disinterest in following up on potential leads. I get that the area around Forest and Audelia has a reputation for gang violence, which might make things complicated, but shouldn't that be more of a reason to dig deeper? Simba was just 18 and had his whole life ahead of him. It's so distressing to think that people are getting away with taking a life just like that, leaving a family and community to fend for themselves without any answers. I can't imagine the frustration and sorrow his loved ones must feel every single day. Has anyone heard if there's any movement, even the slightest, on this case? Is there anything we as a community can do to push for more action?
Sending strength to Simba's family and friends. You deserve justice and closure.
I'm really struggling to understand how this happened to Simba. I came across an old article that mentioned the spot where he was killed is notorious for gang activity. It just makes me wonder why the authorities haven't prioritized this case or taken stronger action to clean up that area. Simba's story seems to have fallen through the cracks somehow, and it feels incredibly unjust. It's truly chilling to think of how easily someone who didn't seem to be involved with gangs could become a victim just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. His family deserves answers and some form of justice. If anyone knows more about what the police are doing or how the community can help, please share. My heart goes out to his loved ones.
