I’ve been following the case of Demetrius Harris, and it’s just been on my mind a lot lately. I'm especially curious about the role the local community might play in solving this tragic case. Fairgrounds Park and its surrounding area have seen too much violence, and it seems like everyone knows someone who’s been affected by it. It’s tough because people might be scared to come forward with information, fearing for their own safety, but community action could be crucial in a case like this. Has anyone heard if there have been any initiatives or community meetings organized to address this issue? Sometimes, even small bits of info from people nearby could lead to a breakthrough, but it’s disheartening to think people might stay silent. My thoughts go out to Demetrius's family—I can’t imagine the pain they must feel. I hope that anyone who knows anything feels compelled to speak up, for the sake of Demetrius’s loved ones and for the community's healing.
