Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of David Len McGary, and something I can’t stop thinking about is the impact on his family. I can't imagine the pain his loved ones are going through, especially with no closure. The idea that Edward Alberto Cancino is still out there must be incredibly difficult for them to bear.
I can't help but wonder about the kind of person Cancino is and how he managed to evade capture. It makes me think about the wider issues in our society concerning illegal activities like drug deals. If only there were better support systems in place to prevent these kinds of encounters from happening in the first place.
I hope more people will come forward with information, and that the community in Dallas keeps supporting the McGary family in their quest for justice. If there's anything we can do, like sharing the story more widely to keep it in the public eye, let's do it. David deserves justice, and his family deserves peace.
Hi everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of David Len McGary and something that's really been sticking with me is the location where this all happened. It's been five years since that terrible day in 2015, and as much as we talk about the people involved, the spot itself, the Texaco gas station on South Haskell Avenue, seems to be a recurring theme in these stories. How on earth does a place end up being witness to such violence?
I read somewhere that businesses in areas with frequent criminal activities often invest in improved security and surveillance, but I wonder if the gas station has made any changes since the incident. I can't imagine how hard it must be for David’s family to think of that parking lot every time they drive by – such a stark reminder of their loss.
Has anyone in the community seen any improvements or changes at that gas station in the years since? Does it still feel like a hotspot for these kinds of dangerous situations, or has something been done to turn that narrative around? My heart goes out to David’s family, and I just wish no one else has to suffer because of what goes on there.
Stay safe, and hopefully, we’ll see justice for David someday.
Take care,
