I've been thinking a lot about how the community reacted when Philip Liberty's murder was first reported. It's just beyond tragic how someone who dedicated his life to helping others can be betrayed in such a heinous way. From what I read, Philip was really active in his local community organizations and truly believed in giving back. It's devastating to imagine how those close to him must have felt knowing that he was killed by someone he likely considered a friend. How does the community move past something like this? I keep wondering how people who trusted Pentland felt, especially after learning about the forgeries. Betrayal upon betrayal. This case was really an eye-opener for me about how trust can be so devastatingly misplaced. Thoughts go out to all involved, especially Philip’s family and friends.
