I’ve been thinking a lot about the location where Gary Torres was murdered, the 300 block of Cactus Street. It's haunting to wonder what was going through his mind in those final moments. I read somewhere that the area is usually quiet, which makes this crime even more shocking. There had to be someone who saw or heard something that night, right? How does something like this happen in a neighborhood people call home and still go unsolved? My heart goes out to Gary's family and friends. It’s agonizing to imagine them having to deal with not only losing Gary but also still needing answers about why this happened. I know the San Antonio PD has been working on the case, but I just wish people would feel safe enough to speak up. Sometimes it feels like justice gets stalled when the community isn’t able to trust or doesn’t know where to turn. If there’s anyone from that neighborhood here or someone who might know anything, please think of how much closure it could bring to Gary’s loved ones. It’s never too late to come forward.

I recently came across the details of Gary Torres' tragic case, and something that stuck with me is the impact this unsolved crime has had on his family and community. It's been over seven years now, and yet, the pain and uncertainty that Gary's loved ones endure daily must be unimaginable. Living in the same neighborhood on Cactus Street, I remember how shaken the entire community was back in 2016. It’s heartbreaking that we haven't seen justice served yet. I honestly believe that there are people out there who know more than they’ve shared, and it’s crucial for anyone with information to come forward. It’s tough knowing that fear or reluctance is likely holding back key details that could finally provide closure. The tenacity of the San Antonio PD is commendable, but as someone who once walked those same streets, I wish there was more I could personally do. I keep hoping we’ll soon get a breakthrough for Gary’s family. They deserve peace, knowing that justice was served and their beloved Gary was not forgotten. I encourage everyone in our community to remember that even the smallest piece of information might make a big difference. Let's work together to bring closure to a family that's been waiting far too long.
