I was reading through some of the updates on James’ case, and I’ve been thinking a lot about the train-hopping community he was part of. Does anyone know if there were any specific gatherings or meet-ups among train hoppers around late 2012, especially between Houston and California? I know these communities can be pretty close-knit and often keep tabs on each other, so maybe someone might recall seeing James around that time. It’s such a unique lifestyle, and I wonder if the transient nature contributed to him staying off the radar for so long. Anyone with insights on these groups or how they communicate might have a fresh angle on tracking James’ last movements.
Hey everyone, have any of you come across any reports or stories about the train-hopping subculture? I recently stumbled upon James' case, and it got me thinking about how transient lifestyles can make it even trickier to trace someone's whereabouts. It seems James was last in Houston making his way to California, but I've heard that train hoppers often have networks or spots where they gather. Does anyone know if there are particular routes or areas they frequent around that region? Any insight might help connect some dots here!
