I've been following the case of Jabri Jones and Damontre Sweeney since it first broke. The part that really sticks with me is how the investigation seemed to stall, and despite all the efforts from the police and community appeals, it seems like there's just not enough information coming forward. I can't even begin to imagine the agony it must be for their families, not having justice and answers, and then to see social media adding salt to their wounds. It’s so disheartening to think about how a diss track could spiral into this level of violence, taking the lives of two promising young men. The surveillance footage seems like it should have been a turning point, but with no arrests, it feels like the case is just getting colder. I hope that by keeping this case in the public eye, maybe someone will come forward with that crucial piece of information needed to bring closure to Jabri and Damontre’s loved ones. If anyone reading this has any thoughts or theories, or better yet, some info that could help, I urge you to reach out to the authorities. The families deserve peace, and the cycle of violence has to stop.
