Hi everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about missing person cases involving folks with dementia, and how we can better support and protect them. Tik Lam’s case has really been on my mind lately. It seems that his recent move to a new city might have played a significant role in his disappearance. Moving can be disorienting for anyone, but for someone with dementia, it's likely even more confusing. I was wondering if there were any efforts, either by local communities or authorities, to help familiarize individuals with dementia to their new surroundings? Maybe initiatives like community walks or neighborhood maps tailored specifically for them, or even tech solutions like GPS trackers designed specifically for those with cognitive impairments. It's unfortunate cases like Lam's that remind us of the need to be proactive and inventive in our approach to safeguarding vulnerable individuals. Would love to hear if anyone has seen such initiatives in action or has any ideas. Stay safe out there, everyone.

It's so baffling to me how cases like Tik Lam's can stay cold for so long, especially considering his condition. With him being new to Philadelphia, it's possible he had no real sense of the area yet and could have easily become disoriented. I wonder if anyone has looked into whether he might have tried to make his way back to New Jersey somehow, thinking it was "home." Did anyone check transportation hubs or look into whether anyone fitting his description was seen around bus or train stations? It feels like such a long shot, but sometimes these simple ideas get overlooked in the early chaos of a search. My heart goes out to his family, who must be desperately seeking any piece of information to solve this mystery. It’s tragic that they’ve had to endure such a long period of uncertainty.

It's been almost 11 years since Tik Lam went missing, and yet there's still so little information available. What's intriguing to me is that Lam had just moved to Philly from New Jersey before he disappeared. You'd think he would have had trouble navigating new surroundings, especially with his dementia. I can't help but wonder if he might have accidentally taken public transport or caught a ride out of the city without realizing it. Has anyone looked into whether there were any sighting reports or CCTV footage from transit systems around the time he went missing? Philly's a big place, but this detail feels like it could be a crucial lead that's been overlooked. Just hoping for a breakthrough, for his family’s sake. If anyone's got thoughts or new info, please share.
