On a Tuesday in the autumn of 2012, a 71-year-old man named Tik Lam vanished from his Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, home. He was last seen at his residence on the 800 block of Locust Street on November 13th, around 4 p.m. Mr. Lam, who suffered from dementia and did not speak English, had only recently moved to the city from New Jersey.
