George D. Savopolis was 59 when he was last seen on the evening of November 14, 2012, walking on the George Washington Bridge walkway. He had graying black hair, a beard and mustache, and was reportedly heading to meet a friend at a McDonald’s in Fort Lee, New Jersey, a meeting he never made.
Witnesses placed him on the bridge at about 10:30 p.m. He was wearing a dark-colored watch or skull cap, a dark sweater and black windbreaker-style pants with a stripe down the leg. The Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department opened an investigation, but the trail later went cold and the circumstances of his disappearance remain unclear.
If anyone saw George on the bridge that night or has information about his movements after 10:30 p.m., please come forward. What can readers add about his last known route or potential witnesses?
