I've been following Angelo Polendo's case for a while, and it's just been weighing heavy on my heart. I can't help but think about the pain his family must still endure, especially with the case remaining unsolved for so long. Angelo's mom, Alyssa, served our country and must have already faced unimaginable challenges. It's so tragic that she has also had to face the loss of her son under such violent circumstances.
What's particularly baffling to me is the dismissal of the charges against Pena and Green due to insufficient evidence. I keep wondering how that even happens when there seemed to be witnesses. Was the evidence simply not strong enough, or has someone decided not to come forward with critical information? Crime Stoppers offering a reward is a step, but it just seems like someone, somewhere knows the truth about that night at the intersection of North Sabinas and Lombrano.
Is there anyone here who's a local or who's been involved in the case somehow? It could be helpful to know how you see things locally compared to what's been reported. Perhaps there's still hope that Angelo’s case can be resolved if people keep pushing for answers.
Hey everyone,
I've been following Angelo Polendo's case, and my heart really goes out to his family, especially his mom, Alyssa. I can’t even begin to imagine what it must be like for a mother to deal with this kind of loss, especially knowing she had to leave him when she served in Desert Storm. It’s such an unimaginable pain. ?
What really gets under my skin is that despite the arrests, the charges were dismissed due to "insufficient evidence." I wonder if there’s more to that—the legal system can be so frustrating at times. And Fabian Pena’s alleged confession—how did that fall apart? Was it coerced, or was there some kind of deal behind the scenes? I hope the authorities are still looking into every possible lead.
It's been so long since this happened, and I can’t help but think that someone out there knows something that could help solve this case. If you're out there and you're reading this, please come forward. It would mean the world to Angelo’s family and bring some much-needed justice.
Sending love and strength to everyone touched by this tragedy. Let’s keep Angelo in our thoughts and hope for some answers soon. ?
Stay safe,

I’ve been thinking a lot about Angelo Polendo’s case lately, and it just doesn’t make sense to me how it ended up going cold after those initial charges. I can’t imagine the frustration and pain his family must feel every day knowing his killer is still out there. It's so hard to believe that after all this time, nobody has come forward with information concrete enough to put someone behind bars. Even with Crime Stoppers offering a reward, you'd think someone with any insight, no matter how small it might seem, would step up. I hope one day soon they get the closure they deserve. If anyone in the San Antonio area knows something, even if it’s just a tiny detail that might seem insignificant, it could make all the difference. This family deserves justice for their son and friend.
